Cheap and cheerful

I was surprised to find that IKEA had such a good range of baby products.Lovely bright and cheerful baby sleeping bags for £10 which is so much cheaper than a lot of shops.
I also purchased a big bag of plastic bowls for 99p and a big bag of plastic cutlery, all in lovely bright primary colours. Great for my twins meals.
They've got really nice stuff for baby's room ,cute nightlights, pictures and soft toys.Prices are all v reasonable.
The coffee shop sells baby food too if you fancy taking baby on yr shopping trip.

Diaper cakes!!!?

Came across this idea while browsing baby sites. The most up to date present at all the baby showers.
Not sure if its brilliant or daft!
The upshot is you create a towering construction, resembling a tiered wedding cake, out of carefully positioned nappies.
Does look quite impressive and you know it will get used.
You can adorn it with suitable teddies, knick-knacks or whatever.
I might just try to make one.
As if I don't spend enough time surrounded by nappies XX

Looking Rough!

After a couple of sleepless nights due to L's persistent cough I look a real clip.
In order of importance I require :
1) Touche eclat
2)Some fake tan
3)Bombay Sapphire
4)A couple mars bars
5) A nanny (just kidding)

Seriously though theres so much to do in twinbabyland that something has to give. Unfortunately this seems to have to be my formerly impeccable standards of glamour and indeed ,half the time, basic levels of cleanliness! How depressing - thank god for the quick fix of a miracle beauty product - a dusting of bronzer,a spritz of chanel and no-one needs to know you havnt washed your face or brushed your hair for a week.
I plan to compile a list of all the fantastic beauty products that require very little time and ideally little money. All suggestions welcome. Heres to all the new mums papering over the cracks.

Baby socks that stay on!

TRUMPETTE baby socks

Amazon usually cheapest at about £15.00 for box of 6.

Worth checking e-bay too, they are popular there but still fairly pricey.
Baby Socks Extraordinaire!!!!!!

These are the best baby socks I have come across so far. Yes they stay on but thats not all. They come in lovely box packaging making them ideal for presents. They appear a bit more substantial than your average flimsy baby sock with a nice non-slip grip sole.
And they are so pretty, especially the mary-jane and ballerina socks for little girls. they give the impression your little sweetie is also wearing a little shoe.

Check them out, they are fab.
